Photos from Ron & Ken Stowe

All photos are by Ken Stowe

Again, searching the site for new stuff proved worth while by virtue of the Stowe Bros. photos. The blue 60 era Vette and 40 Chevy coupe, were I think, part of the local BB/GS circuit. They seem vague but familiar. I am some what influenced by the fact that the drivers of the two aforementioned cars are wearing fire suits. Such precautions were reserved for drivers of blown cars generally. Also, the 40 Chevy has a chute; another concern regulated to blown cars of such "girth". Finally, the Radiation Thames of Troxell was sold to a guy in Puerto Rico in 1972. He crashed it. By then it was blown of course. Too much car for the man I guess.

No mistaking what era this 40 Chevy is from with that lace paint job.  These were VERY popular paint jobs in the 60's!
The "Classical Gas" Anglia prior to stepping up to A/GS.
The Panella Trucking Anglia (again, prior to stepping up to the blower classes) versus Ed Sigmon's "Snarpeezel".
Can't quite make out the name, but it's a good looking Corvette!
The blue 62 Corvette from Ron & Ken Stowe is the B/G Precious Rat Corvette owned and driven by Larry Ferris, probably around 1971-1972.

The Kirsh Family Thames.  Very clean looking and a decent runner. First time I ever saw it (at Lions), it had a small block (340?) Mopar wedge with a homemade fuel injection system.  Looks like they had upgraded by the time these photos were taken.  Mrs Kirsh (I guess that's who it was!) can be seen in the far right of the bottom photo.  She was ALWAYS dressed well for the races.
The "Mind Binder" Willys.  You can see a lot more of this car under "Photos by Bob Wagner" elsewhere on Gasser Madness.
The Overton & Wirsching" Willys panel.
Randy Troxel's cool and quick "Radiation" Thames.
