1941 Willys Coupe, AA/Gas, Pro Supercharged

Description

41 Willys coupe gasser, currently running in the West Coast Good Guys/VRA series.  This is professionally designed and constructed race car using “the state-of-the-art” components and construction techniques. The 4130 chromoly chassis was made by Bill Fitting to comply with the newest SFI 25.1 specifications and holds a current NHRA certification . The Fitting Co. built the entire car as a “turn key”. This was done to maintain continuity during the construction process and thus providing a quality finished race car. The light weight fiberglass body was made by Superior Glass Works and is customized, (chopped, channeled, sectioned, rear fenders raised to allow big slicks) but still maintains the old classic Willys look. The car has unique features such as front and rear torsion bar suspension, monocoque aluminum seat, funny car roof escape hatch, a true safety fuel cell, fully adjustable front and rear suspension as well as adjustable wheelie bars and monocoque aluminum adjustable rear wing ,(that really looks and acts like a wing) made by Dan Olson Co., several tubular weight bars to adjust the balance, entire brake, axle and rear end made by Strange Engineering, (featuring 40 spline gun metal drilled axles and 4.56 gears), all safety equipment by Stroud including dual chutes with “SPEEDY” embroidered on them. Transmission is Mike’s Monster Glide with 10” Coan convertor and blastproof Dedenbear case and a Mondello billet flywheel, trans brake, electric/air shifter by MRC Quarter Pro Shifter. All data is collected and tracked by a on-board computer by Racepak Data Systems, Autometer Tell-tale Monster tach and gauges. Power is supplied by a specially designed Alan Johnson Olds, (all aluminum) which features canted valve heads and many unique “trick” parts which produce extreme horse power and torque needed to push the car to speeds near 200 mph. All four Monocoque wheels are the lightest available with Goodyear racing tires. Enderle supplied the magnesium Bird catcher fuel injection and pump and spark by Mallory super mag 4.
