~ Mullin Racing Pit Accident ~

A note from Dave Mullin regarding the pit accident at the Cordova Nostalgia Fest 2008 on 6-21-08.

Following Mullin Motorsports success in reaching the Gas finals at both GG's Indy and the HHRR, we continue to be blessed and I am one of the luckiest guys on earth. Moreover those events are now insignificant because last Saturday we survived a horrific pit accident.

Mullin Motorsport's family, American Pie `37 Chevy Gas Coupe participated at Cordova Nostalgia Fest 2008 on 6-21-08.  All went well until we loaded the car to go home.  Our oldest son (who had little time in the car), believed he was covering the foot brake and accidentally stabbed the fuel.  In the blink of an eye, the car launched into the trailer and hit me throwing me into the front of the trailer and dragged my wife under where she was pinned until her rescue.  Thanks to an act of God, many fellow racers, track crew, firefighters and paramedics we are all alive, and on the long road to recovery.

No words can express my deep gratitude to all those who in any large or small part helped us.  I have been made aware of the names of some people that helped. I am sure the following list is not all inclusive, but all those unknown who donated to the cause physically, mentally, and financially know who you are and were a God send to me and my family.

Thanks go to:

If the rest of the world was of the same fabric as is our extended drag racing family, it would certainly be a better place.

Mama Mullin says we'll be back.

Your help was critical in our time of need.

Thank You, and God Bless all.
