I started with AMT's recent Starliner kit using the frame, interior and body.  I modified the front frame members to accept the leaf spring suspension from the Revell Willys kit and made a straight axle from brass tubing, wire and styrene pieces.  Shocks and mounts were scratchbuilt brass tubing, wire and styrene pieces.  The kit rearend was placed under the leaf springs and traction bars from the Willys kit were added.  A combination of 427 c.i. parts from various sources were used to produce the engine.  Injector stacks are from Mark Brown.  Headers were bent up from solder and shrink tubing was used to make the collectors.

The front wheels are white metal pieces from Herb Deeks, detailed to include valve stems along with metallizer paints and a polished metal finish to give a realistic look to them.  Tires are home cast Pirelli's from the old AMT '55 Nomad kit.  Rear wheels are from the leftover wheels box and the tires are from the tire box with Shabo lettering applied.

The photo-etch kit from MCG provided the front grille, all body scripts and lettering and dash components.  Bare-metal foil was applied to the extensive chrome trim.  A couple of leftover seats were installed along with a tri-spoke steering wheel.  Otherwise the interior is box stock with paint and foil detailing.

The inspiration for this model came from the Liddiard Bros. Starliner.  I HAD to put it on Nitro and fuel injection instead of just carbs, though!!
