Don't know if this qualifies but thought you would be interested anyway. This is a 1/16 scale model of Mongoose's 7/8 scale '57 Chevy. My son and I built it several years ago from an AMT '57 convertible kit. We got the hard top from a '55 Chevy kit. Body has been narrowed (more in front than rear), sectioned, stretched, etc., until it is 7/8 scale of a full sized car Headlights, bumpers, wheel wells all needed extensive modification. Had all the chrome parts replated after mods were done. We custom made the chassis and scratch built the independent front suspension. Windshield is made from clear acetate. We scratch built the interior panels. Engine is detailed AMT kit item. Painted candy red, candy blue frame.
