RIFF RAFF is NOT a street or show car!!!
It IS however, an NHRA /IHRA legal, CONSISTENT, WHEEL-STANDING crowd
pleaser....Gives the driver a chubb too!
In the past five years, RIFF RAFF has been used (NOT ABUSED) as it was
intended, RACED HARD and often!
The important stuff (engine, trans, clutch, rear gear, axles, slicks,
etc.) has fifty-two passes or less.
The firewall, floors, and body mounts are ORIGINAL, solid, and un-cut.
RIFF RAFF's body is ALL steel!
The windows (except for the drivers door) are glass with all regulators
intact.
Current running gear specs in RIFF RAFF is as follows.
350 / .040 over.
McLeod 'Soft-Loc' adjustable clutch w/sintered iron disc
SFI 30# flywheel.
T-101 4-speed trans with 2:98 1st gear.
6:00 rear gear.
RIFF RAFF runs straight and consistent with 1/8 mile times of 6.79 @ 101
MPH and 1/4 mile times of 10.85 @ 122 MPH.
The engine currently in RIFF RAFF has 52 trouble free passes since BRAND
NEW and is in the stock location.
The lower pieces spin on a new Scat crank.
Scat 6.0" rods are attached to the WiseCo, 12:1 forged pistons.
The intake charge along with the spent gasses are pumped through a new
pair of Dart heads w/215cc runners and 2.06 SS valves.
7/16 studs with new roller rockers and stud-girdle mate the valvetrain
components to the new roller cam, which is motivated by a 'quiet' gear
drive.
110 octane is fed into the engine via an Edelbrock, TR1Y Tunnel-Ram and
two 660 Holleys. The Hilborn style scoop does a great job of capturing the
atmosphere and stuffing into the engine.
