Notes

6.529/214.08
Chuck Moore driving the Chuck Moore & Steve Woods '63 Corvette
qualified #1 with a blistering 6.52.

6.626/208.28
Cecil Matthew newly re-chassied '55 T-Bird with Jirka Kaplan's engine &
trans put down an awesome 6.62 for the #2 spot. Unfortunately, in
the second round of qualifying, the tires shook and
Cecil ran into some
fuel overflow, causing a sudden right turn and a trip to the wall!

6.697/202.02
Mike Leonard put the big '69 Chevelle in at # 3 with a strong 6.69.

6.764/207.56
Sean Renteria's 4-door '65 Valiant was # 4 with a stout 6.76.

6.774/203.71
Gary Reinero's unique '48 Austin stormed to #5 with a 6.77.

6.822/202.79
Rich Robert's cool '33 Willys posted a 6.82 for the #6 spot.

6.866/203.42
Scott White cinched the #7 position in his '41 Willys with a 6.86.

6.868/208.33
Howard Anderson's neat '38 Chevy locked up # 8 with a best of 6.86.

6.879/200.40
Rob Moore pushed that bigass '60 Chevy to a 6.87 landing him in the #9
position in an 8-car field. Fortunately for Rob, Cecil Matthews'
entanglement with the wall put him in the position of being unable to meet
the call for round 1, so Rob was in as alternate.

6.920/200.66
Max Abbey was only able to come up with a best of 6.92 in the
Goshgarian & Abbey '63 Corvette and that landed him in the 10th position.
That's gotta suck, though...run in the sixes and not make the field!

7.301/155.03
Obviously clicking it early, Tim Krupa's best of 7.30 in his '67 Camaro
wasn't even close, leaving him out of the field at # 11.

8.369/118.17
Another early shutdown, Dale Boomgarden could only manage an 8.36 in
Cecil Matthew's '67 Mustang, good for #12.

8.763/150.72
Obviously another one with problems was "Mad Mike" Molea in his '33
Willys, only coming up with an 8.76 for the 13th position out of 13 cars.
