Here's a pair of 33 Willys to warm you up.  Car in the far lane is Richard Barnes.  By the way...that's what pearl white looks like after it's stored for 35 years or so.  The car in the near lane is Gas-FX member Greg Koesel's "Frenchtown Flyer" powered by an inline Ford six that runs 13's on street tires.  Too cool Greg.
The Acme Racing A/GS Willys of Big Al Chernik.
Benjamin Trucking 33 Willys.
Originally restored by Tom Willford and Marty Strode, The Ron Bizio 33 Willys pickup is looking good.  Purchased only a week prior to the Thompson meet by Jeff Cryan and Jerry Gasiorowski, they made a gentle pass or two to try and sort it out.  Looks like the truck's in good hands.
The black 41 Willys belongs to Joe Rundio of the Gasser Gang of Western New York.  It looks and sounds good!
Don Brugman was there with his evil-looking blown Austin.  Spent the time sorting out the new chassis.
East Coast Gassers member Greg Gruebel launches his aptly-named  "Class Reunion" Chevy.
Bones Balogh and Chuck Finders work on the beautiful Mazmanian Willys recreation.  It was amazing just how close Chuck got the barrel valve adjustment with this method.
Gas-FX member Gordon Crowe's cool A/GS Willys.  Gordon got a taste of real A/GS action when the car got twitchy at around 1000'.  By the time his chute came out, he was able to watch it out the driver's window!  As Rocky Pirrone told him later, "Congratulations...now you're a REAL A/GS pilot!"
Gas-FX member "Dirty Don" Benedict's low 10 second 42 Willys sedan.  Still a crowd favorite a year after it's introduction here last year.
Gas-FX members "Dirty Don" Benedict and "Vulgar Erik" Carlson raced each other 4 or 5 times.  Erik's new 55 Chevy took the measure of Don's Willys with consistent 9.90's.

The crowds ate it up!

Gas-FX member "Vulgar Erik" Carlson brought his newly constructed 55 Chevy to Thompson.  Running the Alky burning 540 inch BBC from his "Vulgar Display of Power" 62 Impala, Erik managed 9.90's.  The car was built, starting in January, for this meet.  I hope he keeps it going!  As his T-Shirt says, he's a real "Stick Shiftin' Mother F**ker"!
Bob Ellison's restored Ellison & McGarvey A/GS Willys.

Maybe not a "real" gasser, but a cool and quick Falcon all the same.
This cool Model A sedan belongs to Buddy Janiszewski and is sponsored by his Standmount Tool Company.
Brian and Debbie Koons sure have a nice looking Henry J.
The 39 Ford pickup is a daily driver owned by Tom Fensel.  It HAULS!
The "Hairy Hauler" Willys Pickup of Jim Horvatis , and the "Henry the Eighth" Henry J of Todd Zieminick (one of the Brothers).  Both are members of the Gasser Gang of Western New York.
A few more shots of Jim Horvatis' "Hairy Hauler" Willys pickup.  Very cool truck!
Jim Wilken's "Handshaker"
The Hartsoe Brothers' Anglia
Gas-FX member Tom Nowicki brought out his "Haulin' Ass" 56 Chevy.
The Sarkisian's "Hellacious" Anglia.
Todd Zieminick's "Henry the Eighth"

"It" is obviously not a gasser...but very cool, nonetheless.
Nick Jackson, with the able help of Frank Mazi (many of you may remember Frank's "God of Hellfire" Opel) was able to get his Willys into the low eights.
Gas-FX member Ed Kuhn's 33 Willys.
Gas-FX member Ken Kull brought his new "Red Baron 2" 33 Willys pickup out to play for the first time.  Ken also owns the Hill Bros. "Red Baron" 33 Willys coupe.  This truck is going to be strong!
John Loukas showed up with his original Loukas & Preisling Fuel Coupe.  For those who don't remember, these "Comps" were always fun to watch and very fast.  The coupe took it's first ride down the strip under it's own power in 37 years!
Bill "Maverick" Golden worked hard to put on a show with the "Little Red Wagon" wheelstander.
The "Mad Dad" Plymouth gasser.
Plymouth vs. Willys
The business end of the beautifully re-created "Big John" Mazmanian 41 Willys.
An Olds 442 and a Cuda go at it.
The Tomasik Brothers found this 55 Chevy in a garage where it lay untouched since 1969...double hump heads and all!
A pair of very nice orange Willys pickups.
Though the paint scheme is a bit modern for my tastes, this was a good looking 33 Willys.
Mike Judkins driving the beautifully restored Pittman & Edwards Willys of Dick Long.
"Firesuit Phil" Pofahl's 46 Ford coupe has the original 303" Olds (now out to 387") he raced it with in 1962...it also has the original paintjob from 1962!  Phil has put this car into the 11's on more than one occasion.
Recently purchased from Gas-FX member Keith Schultz, the team of Green & Green had their blown Prefect out for some shakedown runs.
33 Willys pickup.
That's a pretty badass looking hot rod!
Good running Henry J in primer.
Eric Rath's 51 Chevy.  You can read more about this car in the Visitors Rides section of Gasser Madness.  Very nice, Eric.
Ron Doran's "Ferdinand" 40 Willys Coupe
Dale and Linda Riha sure do have a great pair of Anglias!
Too bad they have to have such an overpowering rollbar, but this is still a pretty sweet looking roadster.
There is no way you will ever see a photograph that will do justice to Gas-FX member Rocky Pirrone's new "Boss Hydro" A/GS Willys.  It just isn't possible to show how nice this recreation of his dad's car is!  Everything is polished, painted, chromed or upholstered.  Although Rocky figures that he'll get the car into the 8.60's, it really isn't a race car as much as it's a tribute to his dad, the late Joe Pirrone.  I can't decide whether the car is a piece of jewelry or a work of art.  If you get a chance to see this car, be sure to take a close look.  The attention to detail is astounding.
Larry Stauff's "Obsession" Anglia is great looking and puts on a terrific show, usually lifting the wheels on every pass.
In case you thought that all Willys came with "big 'n littles", here's a stock sedan to prove you're wrong.
Gas-FX member Steve Tanzella has a bad looking 55 Chevy.
Actually an altered, "Testy" is pretty unique.
If this picture of the "Vintage Speed" Willys doesn't turn your crank a little...you're looking at the wrong website!
This is Bill Halbreder's beautiful Willys.
Al Satava's street-driven, flip-top "Whoopass" Lloyd is a very cool piece!
There's just something I like about Willys pickups.
Randy Kravanis, I love his Model A...a true hot rod!
As you can see by the blank spots below...there's MUCH more to come.  Check back daily and I'll try to add as much as I can on a daily basis.
